We are the Bavarian Musikmeisters |
|
The Bavarian Musikmeisters, is a group of about 30 musicians from in the Twin Cities area who enjoy coming together to play authentic Germanic festive music (Blasmusik), similar to that performed by bands in German and Austrian Villages. This type of band (Blaskapelle) performs at various village functions such as festivals, concerts, weddings, and 
other special occasions. This is what our founders had in mind back in 1985 when they decided that our area had possibilities for such a group. Our instrumentation, members' apparel and music style are all authentic. Our band performs for all sorts of events around the Minneapolis/St. Paul area, Greater Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, and the Dakotas. In 2007 we performed in Las Vegas, Nevada. We typically perform about 20 concerts a year including park concerts and at Germanic festivals and senior residences. |
